About us

We are not currently offering in person tours, please visit our website to view a video tour.

Tiny Tots Development Center was founded 53 years ago by Helen Hicks. She started TTDC to serve her community of BIOPC working families who had limited options for childcare. The company was started in the community, for the community, and continues that mission today.

Curriculum

TTDC has an unfailing commitment to high-quality and comprehensive early learning services and strives to eliminate racial inequities in the Early Learning System, which deeply affect Immigrant and Refugee children’s growth, development, and academic performances.

High-quality early learning programs can help level the playing field for children from lower-income families on vocabulary, social and emotional development while helping students to stay on track and stay engaged in the early elementary grades.

The Board of Directors and the program staff work together to set program direction and goals, focusing on the school readiness of children, families, and communities via self-assessment, planning, ongoing monitoring, data-informed decision making, and evaluation of services. Short-and long-term plans are developed for the children and families served and for the program.
