Just Kids Preschool is a new Chinese immersion preschool in central Richmond district. Our philosophy is a blend of montessori, reggio emilia, waldorf and highscope. We are limiting our enrollment up to 12 children at our school to prevent the spread of COVID-19 until further notice. We are a small family owned preschool that expanded from a small in-home daycare. Just Kids Preschool offers a new way of learning Chinese as a second language. We will be providing a 100% Chinese immersion program, 50% Cantonese and 50% Mandarin. I decided to create this program due to the high demand for both dialect. In San Francisco, most of our Chinese speak Cantonese, but Mandarin is more widely used all over the world. Why choose one dialect, when you can incorporate two? Learning Cantonese first makes it easier for children to learn Mandarin later due to the many tones Cantonese have versus the four tones Mandarin has. At Just Kids Preschool, we have one teacher teaching a group of kids in Cantonese, and another teacher teaching a group in Mandarin. The teachers will switch groups after nap time. Under the age of 10 years old, children can learn differently languages so fast. There won't be any confusion for your child when they join Just Kids Preschool.
