Before opening my own daycare I volunteered and worked at several in-home daycares and centers, as well as in various co-op preschools. I have taken a parenting classes at Bellevue Community College and I was a nanny for a total of 12 years. I have recently received my Early Childhood Education certificate, and two short certificates of specialization; from North Seattle College. I opened my daycare to help local families have a safe place for their children to learn and play.

Darrell has current training in CPR, first aid, and safe food handling practices.  He does all of our food preparation and cooking.

Welcome to Jackson Family Daycare! Here at our daycare we strive to provide a welcoming, safe, stimulating, creative, and nurturing environment for children of all ages. I want to be a source of information and support for the parents as well as the children, and I want the families to feel welcome in our home. I encourage the children to try new things, ask many questions, explore ideas, and discover who they are and who they can become! We provide exposure to many different ideas and experiences to help children learn and grow. We teach children life skills such as learning how to share, taking turns, following directions, and using words to solve problems. We provide unconditional love and emotional security, a sense of routine, and an opportunity for every child to be curious, creative, independent, and playful.
